I recently joined my longtime friend Recording Academy member Clayton Mann (Chicago) in NYC for
the 60th annual Grammy Awards.
Clayton who was admitted into The Recording Academy at the age of 13 is
a singer-songwriter and touring artist.
He has toured with the national, Teen Nation Tour. Clayton currently
performs as a solo artist and travels to Nashville to work on new music. If you keep up with me you know I am a singer-songwriter in
tandem with a budding modeling career. I have known Clayton since my touring
days on Teen Nation. My recent single release, American Wild, has received
attention from industry tastemakers which has landed me in Nashville and
Atlanta studios working on a new EP. I am currently set to release my newest single titled, Promises, in late March- early April.

The 60th annual Grammy Awards
were held the last weekend of January. The weekend was jam packed with fun
including a street style photoshoot under the artistic eyes of internationally
published photographer Udor and NYC
Fashion Makeup aficionado Jeffery “Picassco” Lindsey. Udor is a veteran runway photographer, has
appeared several times on The American Fashion Podcast and multiple print
publications. He has the rare ability to visualize in 3D which plays a role in setting
up his shots and timing of his camera click.
Picasso’s makeup styling is inspired by seasonal colors, different races,
skin tones, eye and hair color; he will tell you his “inspiration is endless”.
He has been a MUA for 22 years and is also an accomplished acrylic and water
color artist.

Clayton and I both arrived in NYC on Friday and joined up on Saturday January 27th
mere steps from Madison Square Garden to plan out our day. As Picasso worked his magic with his skilled
makeup brushes, Udor discussed the street style scenes with both of us. Outfits were chosen, makeup was
finalized, camera batteries checked and everyone stepped outside to utilize the
lively streets of New York. Enjoying an unusually mild winter day for NYC the
backdrops included Madison Square Gardens and the landmark James Farley US Post
office building with the iconic steps and local feathered friends. It was a memorable day and we ended up with some evening shots in the lively SoHo district.
Traveling is such an adventure, being a part
of the Grammy Award weekend is definitely something I won’t
forget. The street style photoshoot
garnered attention from many a passerby.
Udor’s lense captured the black tie outfits Clayton and I wore to the main awards
show with the infamous yellow cabs in the background. On the steps of the
Farley building Udor and Picasso brought about an edgier musician inspired look for both of us. As am emerging artist, with many plans for 2018 I look toward my future and my next visit to the Grammy Awards.
